ʻAʻaliʻilani LLC began with a father and son, a shared vision, and a deep belief in the importance of hard work, loyalty, and respect. Owner Wendell Keohuloa, originally from the island of Molokaʻi, carried with him the values he learned growing up in a close knot island community. Eventually making his way to Oʻahu, Wendell brought those values with him the importance of giving your word, taking pride in your work, and always standing behind the people who stand beside you. The foundation of ʻAʻaliʻilani LLC was built alongside Wendells late father. His fatherʻs legacy is not simply remembered; it is carried forward through the work of ʻAʻaliʻilani LLC.
The Meaning behind the name
The company was named in honor of Wendells daughter, ʻAʻaliʻilani, a name that carries a beautiful and strong name. ʻAʻaliʻi is a native Hawaiian plant known for itʻs strength, resilience, and ability to endure difficult condition without breaking. Lani can mean sky, heaven, heavenly or royal/chiefly. The meaning reflects what the company represents. Like the ʻAʻaliʻilani, we believe in remaining strong through challenges, staying grounded in our values, and continuing forward no matter what circumstances may come.
